Karmasis in the Azerbaijan Market
Karmasis, one of Turkey’s leading cybersecurity companies, has taken its advanced technology products and expertise to the Azerbaijani market by establishing its first overseas subsidiary, “Karmasis Azerbaijan MMC,” in Baku.
While maintaining its leadership in data security in Turkey with 100% domestic capital, Karmasis is now expanding its competitive solutions with high technology to foreign markets.
In the World Economic Forum’s report “Global Risks,” two of the top five risks with the highest likelihood of occurrence worldwide are cyberattacks and data fraud. Ahmet Elibol, Karmasis Professional Services Director, emphasized the potential damage that institutions could suffer due to cyberattacks and the resulting losses from disrupted services. He stated that “Due to recent events in the region, Azerbaijan is facing serious cyberattacks in both public and private sectors. Our domestically developed products will be used in many critical institutions, including law enforcement agencies and defense industry. We recognize the importance of Azerbaijan as a regional power, and with this investment, we aim to present our solutions as a strategic value and to expand the market.”
Karmasis, which provides solutions in cybersecurity in Turkey, has added value to hundreds of public institutions, defense industry, and private sector firms. With new partnerships with global high-tech companies, the company aims to focus on growth in Turkey’s Commonwealth and Eastern European markets centered around Azerbaijan in 2022.
Karmasis has been developing cybersecurity solutions and audit products with 100% domestic capital since 2003. The company serves national and international public institutions, defense industry, and the private sector. Last year, 51% of the company’s shares were acquired by Kafein Teknoloji, and the company aims to become a global player as a subsidiary of Kafein Teknoloji.
