Infraskope AppTracker - Application Activity Tracking
Infraskope AppTracker
What can you do with AppTracker?
- Tracking how long a user has been using a particular application – for example, how much time was spent working on an Excel document?
- Tracking how much time is spent actively using YouTube or social media sites
- Tracking hidden web activity – monitoring web activity that is not routed through a firewall or proxy server, or tracking internet activity performed on a computer through a connected mobile device
- Tracking the use of applications such as TOR, VPNs, or Periscope
- Tracking the amount of time spent idle on the computer without any activity
Infraskope AppTracker is designed to answer three main questions:
Determination of which application is used by whom for how long based on “active” application usage metrics
AppTracker measures the time users spend not only on active application usage, but also on their idle time on their computers. By combining these two metrics, it helps you measure your employees’ productivity more easily and enables you to perform personnel performance management in a fairer way. It is now possible to differentiate between Ayse, who spends half of her day browsing shopping websites, and Mehmet, who spends 12 hours a day entering data on Excel.
Internet usage without corporate firewall
The convenience of using mobile phones and wireless networks allows some users to visit desired sites without using the firewall and being affected by restrictions. Once you turn your mobile phone into an access point via USB, Bluetooth, or wireless, the actions performed cannot be recorded. Infraskope AppTracker addresses these scenarios and records the connections made.”
Productivity
Microsoft Office, VMWare, Petrel, AutoCAD, Adobe, and many other applications are requested by users and their respective companies pay significant license fees. But are these applications really being used efficiently? AppTracker allows you to obtain the necessary records to easily answer this question. Detailed Usage AppTracker measures how much a specific application is actively being used. It does not show a minimized application on the taskbar as being used, thus helping you find the actual usage time. Summary Usage When a user locks their computer or logs off, summary records are created for the applications used up until that point. This information allows you to generate reports on both the user’s productivity and the necessity of each application.
